
LucasArts was originally started as part of Lucasfilm because George Lucas wanted to branch into computers. Lucasfilm Games Group later became Lucasfilm Games and then LucasArts, and the Lucasfilm Computer Division was sold to Steve Jobs, and became known as Pixar.
