This is a list of various adventure game series, including non-adventure games that tie directly into those series.

Alone in the Dark
1992, by Infogrames. As either a private investigator or the niece of a man who committed suicide, investigate a haunted mansion.
1993, by Infogrames. Supernatural private investigator Edward Carnby explores an old mansion while investigating a kidnapping.
1994, by Infogrames. After gaining fame from his successes, Edward Carnby is hired to investigate a ghost town in the Mohave desert.
2001, by Darkworks: 75 years after the first game, a reincarnated Edward Carnby investigates the death of his partner.

Azurbbean Adventures
2010, by Autumn Moon.  In the Azurbbean, three ghost pirates have to learn how to cope with their ghostly forms.
2016, by Venture Moon.  After a captain drowns in an Azurbbean ocean, a brutish pirate longs to take his place.

Blackwell
2006, by Wadjet Eye. Rosa Blackwell inherits her aunt's spirit guide, helps ghosts into the afterlife and discovers the cause of their deaths.

2007, by Wadjet Eye. Rosa's aunt works with her spirit guide Joey to help ghosts into the afterlife and to ultimately find their killer.
2009, by Wadjet Eye. Rosa finds herself having to deal with a foe that her aunt Lauren faced 35 years earlier.
2011, by Wadjet Eye. Rosa and Joey uncover the truth behind street corner psychics, including secrets that were never meant to be found.

The Book of Unwritten Tales
2012, by King Art. In this prequel to The Book of Unwritten Tales, find out how Nate first met his furry companion Critter.

Gobliiins
1991, by Coktel Vision. A voodoo doll causes King Angoulafre to go mad, so three goblins search for Niak the Wizard.
1992, by Coktel Vision. Someone has kidnapped the prince, so two goblins, Winkle and Fingus, set off to rescue him.
1993, by Coktel Vision. A goblin named Blount goes on a quest to rescue to find his kidnapped girlfriend.
2009, by Société Pollene. Three goblins attempt to help King Balderone find his missing aardvark, Riri.

Hugo
1990, by Gray Design Associates. Hugo must save his girlfriend Penelope who is a prisoner in the house of horrors.
1991, by Gray Design Associates. Hugo's great uncle has been murdered.  Penelope is the only witness. She must discover "whodunit".
1991, by Gray Design Associates. Penelope is bitten by a snake after a plane crash. Hugo must search the jungle of doom for a cure.

Indiana Jones
Raiders of the Lost Ark1982, by Atari Games. An action-adventure for the Atari 2600. Use inventory items to pass obstacles and find the Ark of the Covenant.
Indiana Jones and the Lost Kingdom1985, by Mindscape. Retrieve an artifact containing secrets of a lost civilization, before Indy's rival, Ivar Reiss.

2003, by The Collective. An action adventure, with more of an emphasis on action than Infernal Machine, that is a prequel to Temple of Doom.
2009, by Artificial Mind & Movement and Amaze. An action adventure with an emphasis on action. Indy searches for the staff of Moses.
2011, by Zynga (No Longer Available). A casual social game. Join the adventure society, explore ruins, and correspond with Indiana Jones.

King's Quest
1980, by Sierra. In the land of Serenia, where Graham travels in King's Quest V, a wanderer defeats a wizard to rescue a princess.
1984, by Sierra. Sir Graham will become king if he finds the three treasures of Daventry.
1985, by Sierra. Rescue the beautiful Valanice from a witch who has imprisoned her in an ivory tower.
1986, by Sierra. A slave to a wizard must escape without the wizard finding out what he is up to.
1988, by Sierra. Travel to the kingdom of Tamir to save a fairy and find a magical fruit to heal your dying father.
1990, by Sierra. Search for and defeat an evil wizard who has stolen your castle and your family.
1992, by Sierra. Alexander sets sail for the Green Isles in search of the beautiful Princess Cassima.
1994, by Sierra. Separated, mother and daughter must find each other and save the kingdom of Eldritch.

Leisure Suit Larry
1981, by Charles Benton. The text adventure that was the basis for Leisure Suit Larry.  Find items to win the affections of various women.
1987, by Sierra. A re-imagined version of Softporn Adventure. A loser hits on women all night before he finds one that will sleep with him.
2013. by N-Fusion and Replay Games. A re-imagined Larry 1 with high definition art, music, and voice acting, and additional puzzles.
1988, by Sierra. Larry gets dumped, goes on a cruise to score with women, and ends up in the middle of a KGB plot.
1989, by Sierra. After getting dumped again, Larry travels to a tropical island where he meets his dream woman.
1991, by Sierra. An amnesiac Larry searches the USA for girls to star in a TV show and tries to regain his memory.
1993, by Sierra. Larry wins a trip to a health spa, where he tries to win over the available women there.

The Longest Journey
1999, by Funcom. Restore the balance between the magic world of Arcadia and the technological world of Stark.
2006, by Funcom. Uncover a conspiracy behind the lucid-dream inducing technology WATIcorp has developed.
2016, by Red Thread Games. Zoë Castillo's journey continues in a game developed by Ragnar Tørnquist's studio.

Manhunter
1988, by Evrywhere. In a future where Earth has been invaded by aliens, try to overthrow them and save humanity.

1978, by Adventure International. Travel from your London flat to a tropical island in search of pirates' gold.
1983, by Adventure International. Return to Pirate's Island in search of treasure.
2000, by Scott Adams Grand Adventures. Return to Pirate's Island one more time in search of treasure.

Police Quest
1987, by Sierra. A cop patrols the street then goes undercover to take down "The Death Angel".
1989, by Sierra. Detective Bonds must rescue his girlfriend and once again capture the Death Angel.
1991, by Sierra. Detective Sonny Bonds' investigation becomes personal when his wife is stabbed.
1993, by Sierra. A Los Angeles detective investigates a serial killing. His ex-partner was one of the victims.

Quest for Glory
1989, by Sierra. An adventure/RPG hybrid where you must battle monsters and solve quests to become a hero.
1990, by Sierra. In this adventure/RPG hybrid, travel to Raseir to resurrect a powerful magical being.
1992, by Sierra. The hero must unite and lead the warring tribes in a battle against a demon wizard.
1993, by Sierra. The hero arrives in the caves of Mordovia and must keep a demon spirit from entering the world.
1998, by Sierra. The hero enters a contest to become king of Silmaria, but an assassin is killing all the contestants.

1993, by LucasArts. The freelance police travel across the USA in search of a missing Bigfoot.

Space Quest

1989, by Sierra.  Rescue the two guys from Andromeda from the evil ScumSoft corporation.
1991, by Sierra.  Roger travels through time to try to avoid being captured by an old enemy.

Syberia
